I have been involved in Law Enforcement since the age of 15.  I was a member of the Fairborn, Ohio Police Department Explorer Post until I joined the United States Air Force in July 1979.  I graduated from Law Enforcement Specialist Training in November 1979 and spent the eight plus years in a variety of assignments with the Air Force Security Police.  I separated from the Air Force in March 1988 to seek a career in civilian law enforcement.

In October 1989 I started my career with the Huber Heights, Ohio Police Department.  That is also when I became a member of the Fraternal Order of Police with Huber Heights FOP Lodge #161.  I also continued to serve in the United States Air Force Reserve Security Police at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio.  While a member of the Huber Heights FOP, I became a member of the executive board serving as the secretary.  I left the Huber Heights Police Department in July 1998 to take a job with the Mesa AZ, Police Department.

I graduated from the Mesa Police Academy in December 1998 and became a Mesa Police Officer.  At that time, I also transferred my membership in the Fraternal Order of Police to Mesa FOP Lodge #9.  I have worked as a patrol officer in the Dobson District, a gang detective, and have been a sergeant since August 2006.  In the Mesa FOP I have served as the 2nd Vice President, Vice President, and have been the President for the last five years.  I have also served as Chairman of the Mesa FOP Lodge 9 Foundation.

I have served 35 plus years in law enforcement and 25 plus years in the Fraternal Order of Police..
